Doctors

Dr. Adrianne Sprovero
Medical Director
Dr. Sprovero is a native of the Charleston area. She attended undergraduate and veterinary school at Auburn University and graduated in 2000. Upon return to the Charleston area, she worked predominantly in Emergency Medicine until 2019, when life’s changes necessitated a more routine schedule. She joined the team at JIVH in January 2019.
Dr. Sprovero loves veterinary medicine, but especially gravitates toward wound management, gastrointestinal disease, and chronic disease. She enjoys putting together the “puzzle pieces” of medicine, as well as establishing lasting bonds with her patients and their families.
While not caring for your pets, she is often found at various sports fields with her teenage boys, Grey and Reeves, and her husband Stephen. The family loves to travel and tries to squeeze in a new National Park every year.
Fun Fact: Dr. Sprovero worked at JIVH from 2008-2010 when taking a break from the ER when her children were very young.

She has a passion for the field and for making both her clients and patients feel as comfortable as possible.
Her excellent communication skills ensure that pet owners are well-informed and at ease throughout the treatment process. She is committed to delivering the highest level of care to all of her patients. When she is not working, Dr. Roach enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs, Lionel and Koda, and cherishing the moments with her baby girl, alongside her partner, Cooper
