Dr. Lawrence is a Charleston native who has harbored a lifelong passion for animals large and small. She earned her bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Sewanee before completing her veterinary education at the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Drawn by her love for the Lowcountry and the community she calls home, Dr. Lawrence returned to Charleston in 2022 and joined the team at JIVH.
Her professional interests include preventive care, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She values building lasting relationships with both pets and their people.
When she’s not in the clinic, Dr. Lawrence enjoys reading, roller skating, painting, and printmaking. At home, her own four-legged family—Pigeon, a Boykin Spaniel; and Marzipan, a Holland Lop — keep life lively.
