Kayla

Kayla joined JIVH in September of 2021 after moving to Charleston from Philadelphia. Kayla grew up in southern New Jersey, where she completed her Veterinary Technology Program before pursuing her Bachelor’s in Pre-Veterinary Medicine at the University of Delaware. She is passionate about helping give back to the community. While working on her Bachelor’s program, Kayla was active in a club that helped train puppies to become service dogs with Canine Companions for Independence. She also interned at the Penn Vet Working Dog Center, assisting dogs in training as police canines and search/rescue dogs!

When she isn’t at work, Kayla loves cuddling up with a good book and her menagerie of pets. She has two cats named Chadwick and Eddie, a leopard gecko, and a ball python! A day off may look like her playing volleyball, going to the beach, working on crafty projects, or binge-watching TV shows.
